For iPhone users porting in their mobile numbers from other telcos and activating VIVIFI SIMs before port-in is completed, you may experience issues with the temporary VIVIFI number being displayed in iPhone Settings.
If you are porting in your number from another telco within a few days of signing up for your new VIVIFI SIM, you are advised to insert the new VIVIFI SIM into your iPhone/ set up the eSIM on your iPhone only after port-in is completed.
However, if you have already inserted the new VIVIFI SIM with temporary number into your iPhone/ set up the eSIM on your iPhone, you may try the following methods to fix the issue with incorrect number display.
SOLUTION 1:
(Physical SIM / eSIM)
Please assist to manually go to settings => Phone => My Number => and manually enter the port in number and click on save.
Alternatively, you may try SOLUTION 2.
SOLUTION 2:
(Physical SIM / eSIM)
Please assist to manually go to settings => Phone(Apple ID, iCloud+, Media & Purchases) => Password & Security => Trusted Phone Number => and manually enter the port in number and click on save.
Alternatively, you may try SOLUTION 3.
SOLUTION 3:
(Physical SIM)
1. Remove the physical VIVIFI SIM from your iPhone, insert another SIM into your iPhone.
2. Then take out that SIM and insert VIVIFI SIM back to your iPhone.
Alternatively, you may try SOLUTION 4.
SOLUTION 4:
(Physical SIM)
Please Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Setting.
For newer iPhones:
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
(eSIM)
1. Delete the eSIM profile by going to Setttings > Mobile Service > Your Number > Delete eSIM. Ensure the eSIM profile is deleted and does not show.
2. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
3. Restart your device.
4. Install the eSIM profile again.
5. Check the number showing under Settings > Phone > My Number and ensure it is showing the correct number.
(Only for iMessage Users) Once the Number is correctly displayed,
Method 1
Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
Restart your device.
Turn iMessage and FaceTime back on.
Method 2
Click on "Remove From iMessage and FaceTime".
Turn iMessage OFF.
Turn FaceTime OFF.
Turn iMessage ON again. Select the correct phone number when it is displayed.
